Bonus Review: Terrifier

Posted by CyberneticShotokan - October 22nd, 2022

Time for the Bonus Round~…

Terrifier was a Ton of Fun. I love how it was pretty simple but Extremely Brutal. I Love The Aesthetic as well. As much as I Love Pretty Anime Aesthetics I Equally Love Grimy Disturbing Looks that this Film Employs. Art the Clown. What a guy. Like, That’s Not At All What I Was Expecting when my Sis recommended I Watch This. But The Bastard’s Great. Performed Excellently by David Howard Thornton. In Fact I Really Liked Everyone’s Performance. As Simple as the Writing and Plot are.

Tara, Vicky, Dawn, Mike, even Steve and Ramone especially feel like they Ground the Film. As well as the Coroner and Officers. The Fact that until the REALLY Twisted Shit after Dawn’s Iconic Death only makes the Film Partially Infeasible is probably the Most Disturbing Aspect.

Frankly it’s a Dark Modern Fairy Tale about being Careful around Strangers and staying Vigilant. Because in this Slasher Movie; The Studious and Party Lovers are Equal Game. And while you can Rely on the Kindness of Strangers like Steve and Ramone in the Pizzeria;Art is a Perfect Example of how grabbing the Wrong Person’s Attention, especially if you Drunkenly Antagonize Them or the like, can be utterly…Terrifying…

Can’t wait for the Sequel.

‘Cause let’s Face It. These days, ya gotta have a Sequel~…
